Musashi

You'll find several of these popular Musashi Udon restaurants in downtown Hiroshima and other parts of Japan.  Many people consider this to be the best Udon in Hiroshima.  Old and traditional Japanese decor.  There is also a carry out window.

Directions
From Tenmaya corner:
Walk south on Chuo dori (main road) and make a  right at the 2nd corner into the Hondori mall.  There is a Musashi on your left.  However, our favorite Musashi can be found further west on the Hondori, near the corner opposite of Anderson's.  Continue down the Hondori well past the Parco department store.  Make a right at the traffic light at the Andersen's corner.  Look for the large verticle Musashi sign on your right (photo above).
From Rihga Royal Hotel:
Walk south towards the Sogo department store.  Cross the main street and continue south along the street car line.  Make a left into the Hondori mall (at the first light south of Sogo).  Once in the Hondori, make a left at the first trafic light (Andersen's corner).  Musashi is on your right.

The genki udon teishoku (set)  is delicious and quite filling.  The rice ball that comes with it is exceptionally tasty.
